Presentation is Key

I had lunch with a wonderful friend about a few weeks ago.  She is a wonderful lady who loves the Lord and her smile shows it.  In fact, she has such an infectious smile that during our lunch, some random woman came up to her and told her that just looking at her smile made her smile too.  Really, if she was up at this hour, I would ask her if I could put her smile on my blog and you would see.  Maybe in a future post...

But her smile is not what brought me a joy moment that day.  It was the delight she had in the gift that I gave her.  It wasn't much at all, but it was in the presentation:

I know she liked the gift, but she commented on how beautiful the wrapping was.  It really did make the present look like something even more special.
It is just like what God is doing to you and me.  The more time we spend with him, the more we will begin to look more like Jesus, or rather, the more people will see Jesus in us and the glory will go to Him.  He is making our wrapping more and more beautiful because it is beginning to look more and more like him.

As it says in Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time.

As a mom, am I showing my children this beauty in the way I talk to them? Even when I am tired from a long day?

As a wife, am I showing my husband this beauty in the way I treat him when he comes home?  Even when I am tired from a long day?

As a child of God, am I giving Jesus my time in order to learn to be more like him? Even when I am tired from  a long day?  ( Wow, see the theme, here?  :)  )

We all have our "To Do" list, but we need to constantly rely on Him to help us get it done beautifully.

Blessings,
Angie
